2005 XC70 Cambelt Change Cost

I'm sure it's posted here before so apologies but going to look at one very early tomorrow that needs a cam belt doing. Anyone please got the latest realist cost of having this done?

Prob around £200 parts which includes the tensioner rollers and aux belt and around 2 hours labour. This is going off of previous posts.

Price isnt set in stone, its up to you, Gates kit is only about £75 plus Aux belt @ £30, you only get 60k warranty with gates, not sure what ya get with Volvo parts

Snows Volvo I think do it for £400 including the aux belt and tensioner. Guess worth phoneing some garages?

Since the change interval is 108K, the Gates warranty is a bit thin. Cannot image that Volvo could recommend 108K interval and not cover the parts for that mileage.

If you ask a dealer mechanic I expect they will tell you that 99% of the failed water pumps, tensioners and pulleys they remove from D5's will be non-genuine pattern parts.

Whilst some pattern parts are better than others - the Volvo branded parts sold through the dealer network are the only way to get the best quality in this case.
