MOT advisory.Rear service brake juddering (both)

Hi,

Got rear service brake juddering (both) advisory on my MOT for my 2003 D5. The examiner also said my handbrake was the best he'd ever tested on any Volvo.(Had just changed discs/drums, shoes(Volvo parts with the flat), pads for the MOT and I already have the manual adjusters in the drum) Normally juddering is a sign of warped discs - but they are brand new.
The only other thing I can think of to cause the juddering is the hoses delaminating inside- I had this once on a Renault Espace.
Anybody any ideas?

Cheers

Did you properly ensure the hub face is clean & flat, is there any contamination on the discs?
You should be able to feel any notable judder through the pedal, so if not it must be slight...

Did you fit new brake and retainer springs when you replaced the shoes?

I did all my brake discs, pads and parking brake a few weeks ago and fitted adjusters while I was at it. I temporarily adjusted the parking brake with the cable and every time I had a chance over the next couple of weeks I used the parking brake to bed it in. Once I was happy with everything bedded in I loosened the cable adjuster and adjusted the shoes, then re-adjusted the cable and now I have a parking brake that will hold on a 15° incline facing both directions. This was on the Serpentine on the Isle of Bute, 13 hairpin bends and a 15° climb

They're probably not quite bedded in yet or maybe there is a tiny bit of grease left on one side.... maybe from a fingerprint??

The other thing it could be is the disc not perfectly mated on to the hub face
