Oil level check on 2012/13 XC60
How do I check the oil level as I can't see a dipstick at the top of the engine?
The only kind of dipstick I can see appears to be at the bottom of the engine block which I can't get my hand to. |

Listen to Clan, and make sure that the engine has stood for at least 10 to 15 minutes to get a reading. There are links to a "Police" dipstick on here if you do a search, that's if you really want to do a physical oil reading. |
2ways use small dipstick
Or use toggle wheel on indicator stalk ,new 4cylinder engines don't have dipstick |
I use the small dipstick and never had a problem.

Same here also use the small dipstick, and my arms are not small to reach it, done from the top of engine.

You can buy a "Police" dipstick kit which gives you a normal dipstick at the top of the engine. There is a thread on the forum which gives the part numbers needed.

the right buttons are hard to find for the electronic. I always forget and have to work it out. follow the instructions and you will get there.

Then use the stalk to navigate to oil level check |
Still struggling to find this and the owners manual does not help much either. Tried the suggested above as well.
