Volvo s80 radio sound problems
 

Hi to everyone :) next problem with my volvo. When listen to radio or cd sound suddenly cuts off and comes back and all the time like this :) maby somebody have same problem and solution. Cd player works just sound cuts off and comes back and curs off again.

You don't mention which system you have, but it could be a problem with the amp or fibre optic connections.

Its standart volvo s80 radio from 2008 model

When switching on the radio what does it say? Performance, high performance etc...

There are 3 different models fitted.

Hi

I have the exact same problem with my 2008 S80 2.5T - whether listening to radio or CD, every 15 seconds or so, the sound cuts out and returns after a few seconds. Sometimes the display blanks out also.

I brought this to a Volvo dealer to investigate, and they spent 3 hours doing various checks, without any success. However, they didn't try replacing the main unit or amplifier, so I am currently out of pocket with this.

Did you manage to resolve the problem, and if so, what was the cause?

I was having the same intermittent issue with my 2008 S80 Lux (high performance radio), but while driving in a recent storm with heavy rain it has stopped working completely.
Have either of you managed to resolve your issue?
