Help - Judder from front left...
Hi All,
I have recently got a Volvo XC90 which has developed a bit of a problem: It feels at 20mph that the front left wheel is egg shaped and there is a rising and lowering / vibration. It is less noticeable at higher speeds. Thinking it was a wheel hub (alloy) / tyre issue have replaced them both but the issue is still there. Just had all the wheels checked, balanced OK and the tracking done but did not make a difference. I am thinking wheel bearings or universal joint but has anyone experienced this before or have any ideas on diagnosis steps please? My next step is to get the wheels swapped (getting this done now) but open to ideas! Thanks in advance! Kr, James |
Caliper sticking.

Could well be.
I've had the exact symptoms the OP described a few months ago. Clocked the discs, all OK. Balanced and clocked the wheels (in case HQ had battered one), all OK. Bearings OK. Caliper sticking, replaced caliper - drives line brand new. I've repaired calipers before with new slider pin kits, they never last long. |

I had a caliper sticking too but mine caused a high frequency vibration which was audible as a squeal
