Btw, quite a weird/costly design from Volvo this bar. Guess they couldn't find how to attach the torque mount. At least if it was a real strut tower bar. |

when you replace your top mount with a polybush you get a tremendous amount of vibration into the cabin, all the dash shakes, steering wheel shakes and your keys are dancing away..................
well today i cured it, you need one of these dampeners, volvo no longer sell them, i found it on a top mount bar Attachment 107776 they were very expensive i have cleaned this one up and sprayed it with alloy wheel autoglym spray to keep it clean |
I concede
Ok, to celebrate 150,000 miles, and after 9.5 years and around 90,000 miles, I actually changed the broken swirl flap control on my '05 V70 D5 SE 183.
Naturally, getting 4 of the 5 injectors out was easy enough, but number 5 is now showing a couple of battle scars from the sharp end of a cold chisel, but t did what it was told in the end. It's not a hard job, and you can easily do it without draining any coolant. What you can't do however, at least, not without a substantial ultrasonic bath, is clean the inlet manifold to any great degree. This annoyed me, but at least there's a little more grunt around 3,800 RPM but much more importantly, the little nag light doesn't come on. I won't pretend that there's any other major differences, but I still feel fractionally better as a result. |
