C70 handbrake sensor for roof operation

Hi, can anyone enlighten me on where the sensor or switch is which determines if the handbrake is engaged so the roof can operate? I own 2003 C70 convertible and the roof has become temperamental and will only work if the handbrake is engaged at a certain position so it is a matter of getting it just right. I am guessing there is a connection problem somewhere.

just keep your foot on the brake when operating the roof its what it tells you to do in the owners manual

The handbrake switch is usually under the handbrake lever. The instructions for my 2003 manual say to apply the handbrake, no mention of the footbrake.

Post 2005 models are completely different to pre 2005. The only thing they share is the name.
