Sound like the bulbs are nearing end of life. They may flicker and trigger the warning.

Yep, I had the same thing. You need to change the bulbs.

and don't buy cheap ones! :)

Osram supply directly to Amazon and can be competitive. Cheap (£100) Osram's I bought of Ebay turned into a 2 year flickering nightmare!

Thanks i believe Osram have a code now to tell if they are genuine lamps as apparently they are widely copied will look into replacing them

Where do you get this code and how is it used?

harriet1 Sep 16th, 2017 06:45

Code

The code is on the bulb box it shows you are buying a genuine item you go onto there website and enter the code and they tell you if it's genuine or fake buy from Amazon as others have said it's bulb or ballest or igniter the only way to test is to swap the bulb with each other and see if you have the same message

you cant get long life bulbs cheaper , and those extra bright ones cost more but don't deliver much more light ... Everyone knows the cost of car spares these days , not just volvos are expensive .. Are ANY makes cheap ? If there is a bulb fail message it makes sense to do the best you can to fix it , The first step is eliminate the bulbs , you cant do that unless you fit the proper bulbs ...
