Amazing

I've had a frustrating couple of weeks ordering the wrong fuse for my XC60. It is a 2017 new shape model. I needed a 15A cigarette lighter fuse and it looks small so I ordered a micro fuse online but it didn't fit. I then ordered a mini fuse which also didn't fit. I rang the local dealer and their parts department asked me if i wanted a micro or mini fuse!! I said surely you should know which fuse I need as you specialise in this model but he said he couldn't tell by the number plate. Anyway, I've asked for a mini fuse and fingers crossed it fits.

They are 15Amp Micro size in my XC90 this is an actual size chart to compare your fuse.

Thank you.

I think they are called Micro2 - my car is a MY20 so may be different. I had a right pain trying to find a fuse tap for a dash cam

Try Halfords, got some from there when I needed extra when fitting a dashcam.

They only do a mix set though, so if you need 2 of the same one you need 2 packs which is a bit of a bummer.

I ordered them from Volvo. They are 'mini' and not micro when ordering from volvo. The ones in halfords, eurocar parts and halfords didn't fit.

Ridiculous isn't it.
Domestic plug fuses are all the same size, so why can't automotive fuses be so?

Always have your VIN handy when on the phone to a parts department.

Or tyres, or timing belts, or shirts?

Hi,
I am a little confused, in your first post you said a mini fuse didn't fit and yet they are in fact correct ? It seems as though there are 2 different mini fuses in that they are a slightly different fit which depends on your model year, 2018 seems to be the year of change so difficult to assess. Though by looking at what other fuse type you have in the fusebox will determine which.

Here is a link for fuse type (amp) and size required for the Volvo model you select in the search fields. Hope that helps.
