'H' reg Volvo 240GL for sale

Just come back from my local Volvo garage, who are changing the clutch on my 164E, and saw an 'H'reg 240GL there for sale. It is a white auto with a cat converter; the cloth interior looks (through its windows) as unmarked; couldn't check the mileage but it is taxed so MoT'd. The only fault I saw - the drivers door trim is mising, but there is no panel damage anywhere.
The asking price - only £125: so much car for so little money. If I hadn't bough my estate before Christmas I would have rushed at it.

If you want me to check it out more for you, just mail.

Paul

Sounds like a bargain ..... can you get any pictures Paul ?

I'd be very interested if only it were closer to home. Why is it that all the good cars are always at the other end of the country? :(

Is it a saloon, by the way?

John.

John it pays to travel sometimes for the right car . I think you find that a lot of the longer term old school members here have travelled many miles for the right one .

I`d probably buy this, as long as it could get me back to Chesterfield!

Anymore details would be great...............

Torsten, Stiggy and others....

I went round there again after work and took three pics of this saloon. I think the mileage was 140k, and both rear tyres are past their best. However it is clean - the tax expires end June.

Its at Sussex Volvo Spares, tel 01903 754216. Ring them for more info, but they are mainly into newer Volvo's, so when Graham gets fed up with non-moving stock he simply scraps the oldest - and this car is just that!

As I'm too thick to get pics onto here, if you want a set, I'm sorry but you'll have to send me your email address.

Very true! The trouble is, I went to Northern Ireland for my last car, so I'm not sure I can justify going so far this time!

This looks like one rather clean car, ok trim might be missing on the door but it looks in great condition for the year:
