Half price 2017 XC90?!

Maybe I am missing something here, but this is on eBay

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/364836567...Bk9SR_DFieHZYw

At 9k it is half the price of the next cheapest XC90 T8 and seller has no feedback.

Guess maybe a scam?

That's far too cheap. Fantastic looking thing in that colour combination.
EJH vehicles Ltd incorporated in 2924 according to Govt website. Based in High Wycombe.

Suspicious at that price. Obviously not photographed at a conventional dealer's premises.

I have just clicked on "sellers other vehicles" and they all seem cheap as chips. I assume this is one of the scams where they hook you in and persuade you to do a Bacs transfer. I also assume the car belongs to someone else.

And in the photo it has done 88k miles. The latest MOT says 97k miles.

Repossessed car?

Carabind Apr 11th, 2024 20:58

Unfortunately eBay and Facebook marketplace are full of scammers. The usual spiel would be, upon enquiring, is “send me £xxx and I will take the car off eBay, till you can come and visit.

If it looks too good to be true, it usually is……

I didn’t think the crystal gear selector was available on that age of car ?

Yes, it does appear cheap, but that does not necessarily mean that it is a scam.

The guy is new to EBay, which explains the lack of feedback. His company is also very new, just over a month old. But everyone has to start somewhere.

Let's not be too hasty in condemning him. It may or not be a bargain for many reasons, but on the face of it, it appears to be a genuine car. If you are interested, why not make an appointment to view the car and then offer an opinion? Until then, any comments that any of us might make remain pure speculation. That way, you'll get a feel for both the car and the seller.

As with any used car 'Caveat Emptor'. You never know, you may snag a bargain, and if it's not for you, you can always walk away. For the record, I have no connection with the vendor, but I think everyone is entitled to a fair crack of the whip. It may be a distress sale and he urgently needs the funds to keep a roof over his head. Who knows?

Regards, John.

As mentioned previously, the other cars on offer make this very suspicious. 18 vehicles, all photographed in different locations.

A feedback rating of zero. No pictures of the business premises. Looks dodgy.
