440 dampers
 

Hi, I have just replaced the dampers on Olive (1996 1.8) and the dampers which were listed for the 440, have made it almost completely rigid and overdamped- Do you think they will soften up? I am going to either fill the boot with sand bags or put the old originals back on....

What make were they?

2 types of suspension set-ups were on the 440s, comfort and sport. I think the comfort had oil dampers, sports had gas. I know there are several different spring specs as well - so some were slightly lower than others. Hope this helps.
