BCM-0070 fault code
 

My friends 2.4 petrol 2005 V70 has had an intermittent ABS fault that has now become permanent. My code reader stated BCM-0070 error code, and a bit of research suggested it was the ABS pump motor failure. A new ABS unit is more than the car is worth, and a second hand one needs to be programmed to the car. However I bought a second hand abs unit for peanuts and removed the pump motor and fitted it to the existing unit. Dead easy to do and a quick test drive the error went away. Nice easy repair if any of you guys get this error code. Seems these motors are not very reliable.
