Yes but with no fluid tank and designed to last the lifetime of the vehicle.

So means it's not very common to have any trouble with it like needing to clean it or replace it as I have read about others like s60

As long as it gets a decent run at speed every now and again it should be OK. It needs about a 20 minute run at full exhaust temperature to regenerate every tank or two of fuel.

As long as it's not purely used for a 2 mile school run it'll likely be OK but that goes for any DPF diesel.

s60's aren't exactly common with dpf faults, I would say the ford based engines in the S40/V50/C30/C70 are the ones most likely to be trouble prone, and even then its usually due to incorrect servicing.

the S60 dpf system would be the same kind of system in a D5 S40
