Stalling out in 1987 740 gl

We are having a problem with the motor stalling out after car is warmed up and we have to stop. It is an intermittment problem but gaining in frequency. The car has 118,000 miles, we have changed the distibutor, wiring harness, battery, and battery connectors. The car will start right up after it has stalled but the next stop it will stall again. Has anyone run into this problem and if so can you offer a solution. Thank You, RogerThat.

Two possibilities for you. 1) Fuel pump relay 2) Power Amplifier for ignition. The first one has developing dry joints and the second one has heatsinking problems ( remove fixings thoroughly clean behind unit and back of unit, replace using heatsink compound ).

All the best, Peter.

Thank you so much for your quick response. I will investigate both of your suggestions.
