Hi guys
Anyone got a spare driver's side Xenon headlight with black & chrome ring bezel, plus a black indicator unit too?

Someone reversed into me this afternoon and broke both, plus dented my bonnet and scuffed the bumper.

Annoying Gary don't claim through insurance either If you can avoid it it's too much hassle, hope you get it sorted mate, the bonnet looks repairable so that's good news for you

If you don't have any luck on the forum I'd give A6 Auto Spares in Leicester a call.

I think I will get it repaired first, Kieran. Then I will forward the guy the bill.

It needs fixing anyway.

I will give them a shout next week, but on a COMPEX course, so not sure if I will get any time.

They won't use their head like you Gary I.e use used parts, get a local place to repair and spray it. They insist on using brand new parts and places that are on £100 an hour that's why cars get written off over not much I would never claim again. Once you get youre light and indicator and fill and spray the bonnet and bumper £400/500 privately using secondhand parts. Them it's a thousand plus conmen Gary.

The place I use for wheel refurbs and paintwork charges £30 + vat per hour.

Does a bloody good job too.

To be fair, when they have to warranty the repair there's a good reason that they won't fit used parts or use backstreet body shops, and in all honesty, whilst I might be quite happy to do my own repairs in that way I wouldn't insure my car with a company who did.

Sickening thing is, Keiran, the trade value of the car is about the same.

Small repair like that, costing the value of the car???

That's it mate they don't do any better job than the local guy who has a spray booth and does repairs on a cheaper rate, mine needs to go back in sometime because I still have two small dings from the old lady who crashed into me :(

It's not Gary and I argued this with my insurance company you couldn't replace that car with the spec it's got etc for the lousy money they give you lol, I'm looking for one at moment they are a grand plus for a sport lux diesel x40 even a decent petrol one fetches more than £500. Gary next time I'm going to sit in the car and cry and scream my backs done in get the ambulance out the works mate ;) loss of earnings, whiplash and back pain, medication, travel expenses you can claim the lot I wish I did I felt and still do like I was conned. If they want to give you 5+ grand for a 13 year old car more mug them mate lol. They teach you to be deceitful next time I get hit that's precisely what I'm going to do ;)
