164E New wishbone rubber mounts wanted!

I am looking for new rubber mounts for the upper and lower wishbones for my 1974 164E.
Can anybody suggest a source in the UK?

Thank you!

Do you specifically want rubber? Superflex poly bushes are available for the 164.

Hi John,

Not necessarily, I just didn't know that bushes of this kind would be available for the 164.

I've never installed any upgraded parts other than stcok, to be honest.
I've heard that the superflex poly bushes are much better that the original ones in all aspects. (Better flexibility, life time etc)
Is this true or are there any disadvantages I should be aware of?

Thank you!

Phone Amazon cars, that's where I got mine.

Lower arm bushes are poly, upper arm bushes are available in poly for the 140, but not the 164, but they supplied me new standard bushes for the top arms.

Normally, poly bushes are harder, giving sharper handling at the expense of slightly more road noise and vibration. Generally speaking, alterntive spec poly bushes are also available - softer to match the original rubber bush, if you want the original feel but with longer life. I don't know whether those are done for the 164 though; I didn't ask.

Good prep for the fitting job is to loosen and free off the very long bolt which connects both lower bushes through the cross-member. If it is rusted in, expect a long fight! One once took me 5 hours and several broken tools to remove!
