Help needed to convert OBD1 to OBD2

I have a 1995 T-5R that is running a 4.4 ECU. I’ve tried reading codes via the flash light under the bonnet but it’s not working. Could this be due to running 4.4 rather than 4.3 ECU?

How do I convert it to OBD2 port, can anyone help who’s done it before?
