Hi Everyone just wondering where is the best place to get a pair of front brake dust covers as the ones on my 2008 v70 d5 has disintegrated..volvo dealership wanting £110 a pair..cheers

Ouch.... £55 for a steel pressing is obscene, even by Volvo standards. Have you tried FRF or Volvopartstrade on e-bay?

Not sure if any FoMoCo items will fit - maybe Ford Kuga?

FYI they are not strictly necessary and they're not an MOT test item (unless they are insecure) so you can just remove them. I've did this on my old Mk 1 C70 T5, I did wonder if wet braking would be impacted but had no issues.

Does it look like this one?

Check carefully first - I think the XC70 and XC60 rear ends are the same as Kuga AWD but not sure of the fronts.

But for £8 it's worth a punt!

Back in the day when I was biulding rally cars we never fitted the dust covers or backing plates on disk brakes. Never had a problem, wet dry or dusty.

XC70 is based on the Mondeo mk4.
