As I said in a previous post, I can't rate the Goodyear Wrangler HP AllWeather highly enough for year round, road and snow use. But it is the only tyre I have had experience with. I wonder why Harry ruled them out? |
Not sure why he ruled out the wranglers, maybe cost reasons. I looked on the Nokian website and the WR G2 looks good. However I could not see the 235/60/18 listed (strange as sure other posts have said this size exists):
http://www.nokiantyres.com/tyre?id=1...e=Nokian+WR+G2 One thing though looking at the picture they do not appear to have as good rim protection as the rest, but then this could just be because the tyre shown is not the correct size? Looking back at the Wranglers, the goodyear site seems to lead these more to offroad, so maybe for me these are not needed. http://eu.goodyear.com/uk_en/tires/r...AT_R/index.jsp |

I think they are more expensive than the Nokians though. Let us know what you decide. Jim. |

The Nokians look like two different tyres cut in half and stuck together. Looks like a much better tyre for the xC90 than those Grabbers though, which are just a summer road tyre. You get the best selection of tyres if you have the 17" wheels fitted, and the cost of a set of tyres is about £150 cheaper. |
[QUOTE=RoyMacDonald;729246]Vredstien Wintracs 4 Extremes are £527 a set from Camskill.
You are right Roy - £537 delivered + fitting - say £600 for a set (too many notes and prices) So now they are back in the mix!!!!!! Has anyone got Kunho's fitted - do you get what you pay for? (I note that the new Santa Fe has Kumho fitted from new) |

Hi Roy,
Yes, aware that are designed more as a summer tyre, but the reviews i have seen rate them well in the wet and give better reviews than the pirelli pzeros i currently have in the snow. i intend to keep an eye on the vredesteins, so if they came back in at the price they were a week ago, i might get a set. currently looking for a set of smaller rims so i don't need to change the tyres over, and the 18" tyres are a fair bit cheaper than the 19"s i currently have. |
