Volvo 343 1.4litre Aug '79

This car is I would guess is very rare if not unique. It is the 3 door saloon in fantastic condition for age.My uncle has owned for the past 13 years. The mileage is completely genuine at 11,100 (yes you read correctly) Registration CET---V. If interested contact me for more information.

I shall be uploading some photos of this car over the next couple of days for anyone who may be interested.Having spoken privately with a couple of forum members it would seem that without the MOT my chances of achieving a good price may be limited. However I would urge you genuine 300 lovers not to miss out I dont think you will find this model in better running order with the tip top bodywork anywhere. It has another 10 - 15 years motoring left in it! As it stands at the moment any genuine offer over £450 would secure.

I'm sorry - that bodywork doesn't exactly look 'tip top' to me.

Okay, I accept it's not in showroom condition, however the chassis and generally underneath is fine. The front panel that houses headlights/grill could do with replacing but other than that it's bodywork is fine. Please remember I am describing a vehicle that is 29 years old and my comments are I consider relative.

I agree with Pete-d, boddywork looks to be in need of a lot of work to make tip-top, an interesting car though!

Yes - it certainly looks interesting.

Have you advertised on www.volvo300mania.com too? I suspect there would be people there who would see it as a good project.

I've already been in contact to express an interest, which I'd like to reiterate.

It looks like it needs a wing and the nosecone is scrap, but that's not the end of the world. On balance, it's probably roughly the same as my 81 343....maybe a little better. These are fairly rare cars now, so you have to take the rough with the smooth.

If you're willing to do a deal, I'm interested in the car. I'd like to take a look at it, either way. Perhaps my heart will rule my head?

cheers

James

It is advertised on the 300 website. Unfortunately an offer has today been accepted which is very near to the original asking price. Thanks to all those who have expressed an interest through the forums. And also for the advice that has been given through private messages.

Glad to see it going to a good home.
