Hello Everyone

Wonderful day out, well all 1hr I managed to spend there.

Massive thanks to those who organised it, great venue and perfect end to my summer.

For me I loved seeing and meeting both the cars and their owners. Saw a couple of C70's, stunning S40's as well as a V50 and an immaculate red V70r. I didn't get to meet all the owners but your cars were smart and lovely to look at.

BUT best for me were the 90's, a late K reg 240 Torslander, a beautifully patinated N reg 480 and to top it all a fabulous 940 GLE estate, brilliant!!!!

Dave Pearson, thanks for sorting out the day and making arrangements between the forum and the Air Musem. I didn't get to meet you in person to thank you.

All the best to everyone and hope we get to do it again soon.

A very big thank you to all that attended the meet today. It did not help a bad accident on A64 for those traveling on that route. The weather was kind in not much rain however winter is on its way. I hope all who came enjoyed the day. The next meet is 12 November, brrrr! yes even colder so a venue with good car park and indoor activity. Any suggestion welcome I have thought Leeds Armoury, however need to investigate what kind of deal we can get. Get your thinking caps on. Then next year so speak up and I will do my best to sort.

Yet another good day out for the Yorkshire section, well done Dave. Leeds Armoury sounds like a good meet for November. Had a good run home via a very nice Italian restaurant (mrs skips idea.. err bribe) Needless to say £85 quid lighter, even being a Lancastrian I had to utter the immortal Yorkshire warcry. HOW MUCH????? Hope to see you all soon. In the mean time happy motoring,:thumbs_up:

Hi Steve, you are catching on well to Yorkshire speak. Try this one,
" At least Dick Turpin wore a mask. " works quite well on the recipient it worked for me with Ray Chapman volvo dealer York who thought double the standard main dealer rate was acceptable.
