Cost of front parking sensors
 

Hi, I wonder if any forum member has had front parking sensors dealer retrofitted to an XC60, already factory fitted with rear parking sensors? I've just been quoted £750 by the supplying dealer. I can see the cost of the kit on www.evolvestore.co.uk so £750 really does sound steep. If anyone has done better than this, a part number and price paid would be good to hear!

£750 is a bit steep, at Johnsons Volvo we would charge £535 including VAT to retrofit front park assist. Still expensive I know but we do discount parts and labour on all accessories to try and encourage more sales and help customers out.

I'm not sure where you are based but if you can get to one of branches in either Solihull, Gloucester, Hereford, Redditch, Oxford or Swindon we would be able to help you.

Hi,

I had mine retro fitted (well, they were fitted to the car before I took delivery) just before Christmas last and I was charged £613.24.

I think with VAT that worked out to be £720 odd squid.

We paid £520 at Volvo Horley for the front parking sensors to be retro fitted.

The car was in and out on the same day but had to wait 2 months for the R-Design fog lamp surrounds to be delivered.

I agree, due to the size and shape of the car they are a good option.

Hi - similar to other replies -had front rectro fitted about 18 mths ago shortly after getting the car and thinking it made sense ! About £550 from Volvo in Slough at that time.

Today I was quoted £603.24 by Slough and Chiswick who are 15 miles down the M4 quoted £725.80. Both are inclusive of labour, parts & VAT

I guess the difference in the Slough price quoted above could be the attributed to the VAT increase.

. . . around £570 in the end. It wasn't an entirely straightforword installation, the dealer crossed the wires for the left and right sides of the front sensors. Fortunately I noticed something was amiss before depending on the sensors at really close quarters!

Front sensors on R Design
 

I was told that you couldn't fit front parking sensors to an R Design. So does anyone have the part numbers to suit the R Design, so I can go back to the dealer?
