V70 Bass Speaker, opinion on HU803
 

Greetings All
My recently acquired V70 estate is fitted with the HU803, sadly without a bass speaker in the back. Anyone know where I might source one, and where I might find documentation on fitting etc?

I can't make up my mind if I want to stay with the HU803, or fit an aftermarket double din unit so I can play my ipod. I'm quite happy with the sound produced by what's there, anyone have an opinion on whether or not I will sacrifice sound quality for convenience, bearing in mind by budget is about £170.

I think a "no radio" software is required if you remove 803.
Check item 271007625533 on ebay. This plugs directly into rear of 803, and all steering wheel buttons function as normal.

There is no need to disconnect any wires on the 803, but if you want to, battery must be disconnected in the proper manner first.

There are various videos on youtube regarding this installation, very simple.

Ive not tried the kit, just search for reviews.
There are cheaper options to plug an ipod into 803, but it will be very limited.
The bass may be sourced from ebay or the scrappers for cheapest.
