Sat Nav Failure
 

Since I have been the owner of my 2013 V70 (nearly 3 years now) the Sat Nav has not worked, which is fine as I use Google maps anyway, but it's annoying that I get the message :-
"Installation Failed"
Eject Disc, reinsert and try again "
Pressing "Exit" removes this message.
I have tried numerous Install Discs and even a USB Memory Stick but it still comes up every time I start the engine.
Can this be "switched off" or any other suggestions, please?

I had trouble doing mine (2013). You need to check it's had the paid dealer S/W update, after which it'll accept USB, but won't before.

Next, the mistake I made was the 2013 car needs the 2010-format download, not the 2013 one. The earlier one (sensus), like mine, doesn't have the globe button, whereas the later one (sensus connect, IIRC) does.

Annoyingly, it is necessary to deliberately mark personal messages to be saved in the Sent folder.

I have tripped over this a number of times as I rarely send PMs on this forum, and as I am also used to more user-friendly messaging services.
