Gary,

I had the single unit on a V70 2.5 20v and regretted not putting on a twin everytime I saw a twin-box picture. There is just something about a twin exhaust system that just finishes off the back end of a Volvo. It's a matter of opinion of course. I just think if you have a performance motor like these then you give it the best you can.

The boxes or cylinders in this case is dependent on working space. The sound, as you may already know, is baffled inside and there is a variety of levels to choose from. You may not be able to tell, but in the search to balance the pressure for the two different pipe diameters from the splitter, the driver's box is slightly longer (cm's only).

If undicided, there is another option. Have the single made and if it's not to your liking whilst you are there, simple ask for the extension. At a guess you would probably be looking at a difference of £100.
