2.0D was indeed 150k miles/ 10 years and 1.6D is probably same.

Personally I would replace before 150k, maybe at 125k partly because its a quite high mileage and also because at 150k the DPF comes up for its second change and the service bill then would be absolutely huge. Better to stagger and spread the cost assuming that a Volvo dealer will carry out service that is.

There are however no reports of belt failure that I've ever come across on these forums, so this area of the engine I think is quite strong.

If you have an older car, in the service handbook it defined what various intervals are, but unless I've missread something the newer ones don't give much info. This is on the schedule/ticklist that comes with service paperwork.

I suppose Volvo change spec occassionally and it keeps the handbooks current.
