I say, "buyer beware". Buy the best you can and if you can only buy poor quality tyres, adjust your driving to suit the reduced grip, or handling levels.

If that money were to be spent, long term it may reduce insurance payout's caused by poor tyre's, which would filter down to the end user, who know's. .
