Interesting thread!

I've been running a V70 2010 model 2.4D auto with 175hp and 420NM since May 2010. It was sold for a while alongside the 205ps D5 model. Lower power but similar torque. It's now done 23k miles at 37.95mpg (best is 43.04 for a tankful, worst is 31.30). I tend to do more short journeys and drive with hand controls as I'm a wheelchair user. I have to change cars this year but the only auto V70 I'm offered is the D2 so I'll probably end up with a Passat 2.0TDi as I'm not sure that 1.6D makes a lot of sense. I see the current V70 2.0 comes in D3 and D4 flavours (136hp and 163) and I'm guessing the D3 at the top of this thread equates to the current D4 at 163hp? Anyone driven the new D3 136hp model? Or has anyone driven the 115hp 1.6 D2 model? I'd love to stick with another V70 but I'm hooked on torque and don't think I could bear the D2. I asked my dealer to source a demo model but seems Volvo UK don't run an auto model demo just yet.
