Thanks for all your replies but I now have an update. The HSA does work when stopping on a hill if the brakes are applied firmly, It holds for about 2 to 3 seconds. However, no matter what I try I cannot get it to hold when in Start/stop mode which is when you need it most. It is definately the brakes that hold the car and not the auto gearbox.
