I'm sure everyone at some point has turned the stereo up and ignored noises for a short time, although I doubt anyone tells the buyer when the car is sold...."did you look after the car well mate" ..."yeah course, as soon as i heard a dodgy noise, i turned the volume up, superb speakers"!!

p.s heyskull....(just jesting).

However personally I wouldn't ignore a constant noise coming from the clutch when the pedal is depressed (or released), as while its one of the most expensive aspects to fix, its not something you want to fail.

If the OP is looking to keep the car then yes I would have the bearings looked at, but i guess if he isn't interested then he may well ignore the noise and hope it doesn't get worse.
