Turn the key with your right hand, cross your fingers on your left hand, look to the east and hope for the best ! Seriously though you have nothing to loose now, if its damaged its damaged and the head will need removing , IF by luck its ok then youve saved yourself a hell of a lot of work and have a running car again.
