Many thanx for the kind offer - I'll take you up on that if I may after the hols.
I have to admit that my love of estates comes purely from a longstanding practical requirement for load carrying and towing. Some versions IMO look better than the saloon versions [ CX Citroen for example ].
I suppose in reality my days of whizzing accross Europe with a trailer and show car are long gone - maybe a saloon + a builders trailer maight do the trick these days !
It's the front sheetmetalwork / grill that really appeals with the 164 / 5 - has that Olde Worlde [ ie Classic ] look.
A 165 certainly seems a distant dream now with the info I've recieved here - and I'd have to find a 145 for a darned sight less than £3.5K !!!
Ironically I had a 1971 145 about 15 years ago - paid £350 for it !
