Can't figure out what this problem is from the descriptions, BUT I would not rush to try something like K seal until an HG failure is confirmed.

It won't cost much and is easy to change the spark plugs, if that does not help then it would be good to get the codes read. If the coolant level is falling or there are real signs of steam, or traces of Mayo on the dipstick, then the first thing to do is change the oil ASAP, just in case it's contaminated. Then drive at low power to the nearest place to get a compression check and cooling system pressure check done.

If it is kaput, then some more serious decisions have to be taken. K seal might then be worth considering if it's beyond repair, but in reality it won't seal a bad HG crack or last too long if the RPM is not kept low. Changing the oil on a very regular basis can allow an engine to carry on for years sometimes, although for engines with a turbo the outlook is not good, due to the sensitivity of the bearings to contaminated oil.
