Professer,
Before any attempt to change the rear mount, maybe you should try to bypass it. Unplug the lower hose that feeds the engine mounts on the valve that is on the air box, plug the port with a piece of leakproof rubber hose and drive the car. If it goes into limp mode again you'll know the engine mount is not the culprit...
