I have not been on the forum for some time as i have been busy so to bring up to date
I have found a second hand engine complete with injectors manifold, turbo and fuel pump, and i have fitted this by dropping the subframe and removing the engine and gearbox complete, whilst it was out i have done the angle gear thing, cured some oil leaks, and cleaned egr and anything else i could find.
Now the engine is back in and running and its really sweet, no blue smoke, quiet smooth, and i am glad i did it,
HOWEVER the car ticks over fine revs fine and drives great, for 50 yards, then it goes all gutless with no power and a top speed of 68 mph, i dont think its in limp mode as i am told that 2500 rpm is the limp mode limit
and it revs more than that but wont pull. If you turn the ignition off and start the car again it runs fine for 50 yards, if you stop the car and put it in nutral then in gear and set off again still gutless. Ignition off then start and good for 50 yards again. As i work more than 50 yards from home this does not work for me.
I can find nothing mechanically wrong and its showing no fault codes, i am begining to think its a bad or corrupted ECU anybody any ideas ?
Boy am i going to have some spares for sale when this is finally sorted 😉
