As above, get one of
these and download Torque app for Android for free. You will be able to read the MAF, fuel pressure, intake air temp and many other and compare them with the normal values (normal MAF is about 3.0 at idle)
To clean it get a MAF sensor cleaner and spray inside. Check out this other
