There is an aerosol spray that clears the plastic lens... A local man who repairs cars in a small lock-up sprayed mine and they're now clear..
Whatever it was he uses leaves a clear coating on the surface and you mustn't touch it for a couple of minutes as it's sticky at first.. he wouldn't tell me what the spray was and said he found it out purely by accident.
I suspect it's some kind of electrical contact cleaner..
