It's kind of permanent... its always 95/5 (front/rear) with a maximum split of 50/50 (correct me if I'm wrong?)

Same Haldex clutch system as the vast majority of car manufacturers use for awd excluding the likes of suburu and land rover's . Its the same as what Audi use for quattro, vw 4motion, and whatever skoda, ford etc call theres.

There's loads of videos on youtube of this cars capabilities offroad (I especially enjoy those crazy Russian videos!!)
