Sent ur obd2 reader back , they are usually not competible .
Use torque with a cheap elm 237 bluetooth adapter its cheaper and better

If the swirlarm comes off it definitly throws up a code and dim message , limpmode that severe i m not sure .
So you need to fix that arm regardless what codes you read out ( it affects fuelconsumption and soot production in the low load area ) , you can buy the volvo repair kit for 5 pounds . or even better : a small zip tie but you need to make a hole on the both arm ends to connect
