My P1 V70 has ABM projector units with HID in dip beam , but i run LED for main beam ,as they are instantaneous light & way brighter than the HID's . I can easily illuminate 1 mile of cats eyes on M55 on main beam .
A quick thing to do when you swap over is to make sure your earth is good & clean , if neccessary run an extra earth directly from the battery , also make sure your front panel is not flexing , as the vibrations will break filaments . Had one where everytime the electric fan kicked in the whole front shuddered , turned out to be loose mountings leading to broken bulbs
