WOW...a 7 year, 3 month (87 month, if you prefer) thread.
I read it all just to be sure nobody said the ONE INVALUABLE, INARGUABLE, IRREFUTABLE, PLENARY, THING there is regarding brakes.
First Commandment: Always do one side at a time so you can run over to the other side when you forget how things fit. (I realize this ain't of much use when someone before you did both sides wrong).
My thought on these springs is that it may be smart to replace them when brakes see any service after 100K because rookies like us stretch and pry the life out of them.
Ever notice in posted pictures how often there are many scratches from the many attempts needed to seat them? Hey, I'm guilty of it too!
