It would be reasonable to expect DPF regenerations to have a high rate of success in the early years of a diesel cars life. The emissions light coming on every 2-3 months since new is somewhat suspect. Of course vehicle mileage and driving style will play a large part in how successful the dpf regenerations are.

Greers like any Volvo dealership are the face of the company, but they are also the middleman. I'd imagine it would be up to Greers to hold Volvo Cars uk to account if they were being supplied with faulty vehicles. Volvo cars as a corporation have proven time and time again that their aftersales service can be lacklustre when things like this happen. Some of the less premium manufacturers have better customer service. I would personally seek legal advice.
