Tyre noise
I just traded in my 2014 V40 D2 CC Geartronic with 16" wheels for a 2016 D2 CC Pro with 17" wheels and we notice that there is a lot more road noise with the 17" wheels.
I had switched the original 16" Continetal tyres for Goodyear Ultragrip 9 ones and they were much quieter.
The Ultragrip 9 is not made in a 17" size though so I am wondering what other people fit. I'm hoping it won't be nesseccary to fit 16" rims although that would let me fit Ultragrip 9s again. (assuming they do the 225 width) The 17" summer Continental Contact Sport 5 also slip and slide about on the icy roads whereas you can drive pretty normally on the Ultragrip 9s.
