I agree, and in fact took the car to my local garage this morning who are pretty good with stuff like this but they were reluctant because it would have to be cut to take it off.
I think they are just too busy with Christmas coming up .
Ringing around, it seems mine is difficult to get a replacement as it is a MY2000 and has 2 silencers instead of 1. Not sure what the implication is of fitting the earlier exhaust ?
