Thanks guys. Glad to hear it's probably ok. I've given it a couple more runs since and started to understand its behaviour a bit better. I have 10w40 oil in the car at the moment, which was the grade that was recommended to me for the B200F.

As a side note, in case anyone else is thinking of an oil pressure gauge and wants to keep their warning light, the two terminal sender I bought, although huge compared to the original one, does clear the alternator and didn't need any extra fiddling to make it fit. Other forum posts I'd read while considering the installation talked about elbow joints and such, but in the end it went in just fine.
