Might pay to jack it up and put the back axle on axle stands while checking the reverse lights with the engine running!

Bet that's fun Ellie!
Try pushing the gear lever further to the left, see if that brings them back on, if so, check your gearbox rear mounts and right hand engine mount.
Might need the little bushes renewed that Mark recently did on his, just before this fault appearred in fact.
