For my PV I bought some silent coat because it was the cheapest. I still haven't fitted it. The PV bonnet is actually quite an awkward size for the available silver foil coated sound insulation.

I can't recommend it because I haven't fitted it yet (!)

I was concerned about fire and the amount of smoke this product and the dynomat products make when burning. Information from the suppliers is thin on the ground and the manufacturers could only quote a standard (forget which one sorry) that is designed for a match / cigarette on upholstery type situation...

...I'm of the opinion that this standard is pretty crap for most automotive situations.

I was considering using building bitumastic products instead of the "special" car products - I remain convinced that there is very little difference between the expensive car products and the cheap building products in terms of sound deadening qualities and fire safety (despite the protestations of the manufacturers)
