Looks even more like an Amphenol part number to me Bob!

That links to the AMP928721-2 which are the pins for use in the housings, you choose the housings from the options further down the page.

However it seems some part numbers have changed as has the company name aparently, now TE Connectivity from the looks of things.

In electronic terms, something from 1990 is positively antique now so getting the same connector is highly unlikely. I digress thogh,i had hoped there would be a Volvo label with a Volvo part number on the amplifier.
