You would be surprised how hard it is to start one with out them working from stone cold. Our Renault had a common rail engine in fact it was a 2.0 litre one with 150bhp. The difference was night and day with them working. A lot less so once the ambient temp got above about 12 on frosty mornings it was a nightmare to get it started.
